Hotel Jungfraublick - Wengen

By and large, it was comfortable base for sightseeing in Wengen, had much fun and met polite staff from the porter to the receptionists. I liked this hotel, no complaints.

The rooms are very comfortable and clean with modern furnishings. Our room on the third floor facing south had spectacular views of the mountains and the incredible valley. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Our large family group occupied 4 rooms. We were all very pleased, but would encourage spending the few dollars more for a room on the south side. It is worth it.

Staff at front desk and breakfast were fluent in English, very friendly and helpful. Hotel location was easy walk from train station (8-10 minutes). Wengen has wonderful visitor signage pointing you to hotels and hiking trails, several of which are literally out the hotel's front door.

Next time I'd pay the extra for a room with balcony and view.

Things I wish I knew before I tried it

The hotel offers fine mountain views, especially from the Double Room with Balcony and Mountain View. The breakfast was rich and fresh, but it would be great if they expanded the menu a bit. A 7-minute walk to the train station might be tough with luggage, although a free shuttle is available. Enjoy the scenery!

The staff were excellent. The best thing was the hotel cat who used the lift to get to his apartment on the top floor.

Fine mountain views from the hotel.

The man at reception showed a lack of consideration when helping me during check-in, leaving me to wait while he attended to another guest who arrived after me. I also faced issues with housekeeping. My request for an additional pillow was ignored. The lack of adequate storage in the room, and the chairs were uncomfortable for working.

Very quiet area, central location just off the cable car to Maennlichen and Wengen for 3 days and walk up to the Mannlichen. Nearby Crystal bar - great place to chill out. Excellent service, compact king room with mountains view and great views of the Jungfrau trio, as example.

Wi-Fi was kind of slow.
